John has been fishing since he was old enough to walk!
He grew up in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, fishing every chance he had on Grand Lake.

He went from using live baits to jigs when he was just 5 years old. He prefers using artificial bait, because he says you're the one making it happen, luring the fish with your movement, your talent. John ties all his own jigs.

He lives here and has been fishing Beaver lake for 16 years. Although Crappie are the targeted species he does not discriminate!

After all these years of fishing he's still hoopin and hollerin with each new catch! Quite the comedian, there is never a dullmoment aboard the Crappie Central!
